Brief Description:
Administrative Assistants perform administrative functions required
in an outpatient healthcare setting. This includes front office
work, and billing and insurance procedures.
Administrative Assistant Certificate:
16 Credit Hours
Length of Program:
3 Months (Some online courses)
Job Settings:
Physicians offices, outpatient clinics, medical billing services,
insurance offices, and health related businesses such as medical
equipment and home health.

Phlebotomy Program
Brief Description:
Phlebotomy is the acquired professional skill of performing venipunctures
(drawing blood).
The Medical Laboratory Technology Program offers a 12-week Phlebotomy
Certificate on-campus. Currently, classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday
evenings. This eight credit certificate includes HPR 112 –
Phlebotomy (4 credits) and HPR 113 – Advanced Phlebotomy (4
credits) along with 120 hours of clinical internship.
Application process for the Phlebotomy
Certificate Program
A GED or high school diploma is required to qualify for this certificate.

This certificate is not eligible for financial aid. Contact the
